Celebrating Women’s History Month at Law Stein Anderson, LLP
By Shauna R. Anderson, Esq.
At Law Stein Anderson, we see firsthand the strength, resilience, and leadership women bring to the legal profession every day. Women’s History Month offers a special opportunity to recognize and celebrate those contributions.
In my role as partner, what inspires me most is helping others find and use their voice. That includes supporting women whose talents may sometimes go unrecognized and creating more opportunity for advancement within the legal profession.
The legal field has made meaningful progress in recent decades. Women now make up the majority of law school students and law firm associates nationwide (American Bar Association). However, leadership opportunities in private practice remain limited, with women representing only 28% of partners as of 2023 (National Association for Law Placement).
At Law Stein Anderson, I am especially proud of the team we’ve built, including the fact that half of our partners are women who help shape the direction of our firm and the care we provide to our clients. We also work alongside a strong group of women associates and are committed to supporting their continued growth within the firm. That commitment is reflected in our recognition as an Orange County Register Top Workplace in 2025.

Many of our attorneys balance demanding careers alongside family and community responsibilities. So many members of our team are also moms, wives, daughters, and sisters, juggling these roles every day. They are incredibly nurturing, showing up for their families at home and bringing that same presence into their work, supporting clients through some of life’s most difficult moments.
We invited the women on our team to share who inspires them, what motivates them, and the advice that has shaped their careers. Here are their reflections, including my own.

Continuing the Conversation
Across the legal profession, women contribute in countless ways through advocacy, mentorship, leadership, and innovation. At Law Stein Anderson, I work alongside women whose dedication supports both our colleagues and the clients we serve every day.
This month is an opportunity to recognize not only the milestones that have shaped the profession, but also the individuals whose daily work continues to expand opportunities for the next generation.
