BIOGRAPHY
Desiree Rivera, Esq. focuses her practice on estate planning, business planning, and trust administration matters. She prepares individually crafted estate planning documents, including revocable and irrevocable trusts, wills, powers of attorney and other estate planning vehicles for clients with modest estates as well as those with a large, complex portfolio of assets. Desiree routinely forms business entities, such as LLCs, and prepares a variety of corporate documents to fit her clients’ needs.
While at LSA, Desiree has assisted in structuring complex planning to save a client approximately $10 million in estate tax. After recent and abrupt changes in property tax laws, Desiree was on a team of LSA attorneys that moved approximately $100 million dollars’ worth of real property, saving clients and their families millions of dollars in property taxes for centuries to come.
From young professionals to elderly couples, Desiree takes the time to educate her clients by explaining complex concepts in an understandable, manageable, and useful format that empowers clients and provides peace of mind. Desiree is known for her personal approach and responsive communications, ensuring the client experience is as smooth and efficient as possible.
Desiree earned her juris doctorate from Chapman University Fowler School of Law, where she received CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in her practice areas. While in law school, Desiree also served as President of the Children and Family Law Society.
Desiree graduated cum laude from Chapman University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and Minors in Spanish and English.
Desiree was born and raised in Orange County where she still resides today. Desiree prioritizes time with her husband, son, family, and friends, and enjoys anything outdoors. On any given weekend, you can find Desiree at a concert, attending sporting events, boating, camping, or walking her Rhodesian Ridgebacks at the park.
