Bringing the LSA Team Together: Our 2026 Annual Retreat
Each year, the Law Stein Anderson (LSA) Annual Retreat gives our team an opportunity to step away from the day-to-day, come together in one place, and spend some time focusing on where we’ve been, where we’re going, and the people who make LSA what it is.
It’s a chance to celebrate the milestones and accomplishments of the past year, welcome new faces, exchange ideas, and have conversations that we don’t always have time for during the course of a busy workday. Just as importantly, it gives us an opportunity to spend time together outside of our usual routines, strengthen relationships across the firm, and enjoy the team culture we’ve built along the way.
On September 18th, the entire LSA team gathered at the Irvine Marriott for this year’s annual retreat, a day filled with conversation, collaboration, reflection, plenty of laughs, and, as it turns out, some pretty serious competition.
But really, we’d expect nothing less from our fierce and determined attorneys and admin.
Starting the Day Together
The morning began with a breakfast buffet on the beautiful outdoor terrace, giving everyone a chance to grab some coffee, enjoy breakfast, and catch up before the day officially got underway.
Everyone was also welcomed with an LSA tote filled with a few goodies for the day, a little retreat swag to kick things off and give everyone something to take home as a reminder of the day.
From there, LSA Partners Matthew Stein, Shauna Anderson, Zebulon Law, and Christine Allen welcomed the team and kicked off the retreat with a look at what has been an exciting period of growth and accomplishment for the firm.
The morning’s conversations touched on some of LSA’s biggest milestones, new team members, our growing LSA family, recent firm accomplishments, and other updates and news from across the firm.
But the retreat isn’t only about looking back. It’s also an opportunity to learn from one another.
Throughout the morning, the team worked through case studies and real-world scenarios designed to encourage discussion, share perspectives, and explore how we can continue improving the way we work together and serve our clients. With attorneys and staff from across the firm in one room, it was a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas and learn from the different experiences and perspectives within our team.
Let the Games Begin
After a productive morning, we broke for lunch while our team-building crew transformed the space for an afternoon that looked a little different from our usual workday.
Enter: Game Showdown.
The LSA team divided up and put their knowledge, creativity, teamwork, and competitive streaks to the test through rounds inspired by television game shows along with a variety of unique challenges designed to get everyone involved.
There was plenty of strategizing, cheering, laughing, and friendly competition as teams battled their way through each round. It was the perfect way to wrap up the retreat and gave everyone an opportunity to connect with colleagues outside of their usual teams and practice areas.
And because no LSA event is complete without a little something to take home, everyone also received an LSA tote filled with firm swag to commemorate the day.
More Than a Day Away From the Office
Our annual retreat is always fun, but its purpose goes beyond simply getting out of the office for a day.
As LSA continues to grow, days like these give us the chance to reconnect as one firm, celebrate the people and accomplishments that got us here, learn from each other, and think intentionally about what comes next.
We spend so much of our everyday lives focused on serving our clients and moving our work forward that it’s important to occasionally make space to celebrate the team behind it all.
We left this year’s retreat with new ideas, great memories, and perhaps a little more knowledge about which LSA team members you definitely want on your side during a game show.
